Fortnite Chapter 3's map suffers no such issue, however, thanks to a mix of visual improvements and the aforementioned gameplay changes and features that accompanied its introduction. Not much went down on them, causing gameplay to sometimes feel static and worn out. Older Fortnite maps have sometimes had a problem with keeping players’ attention.

Thanks to the introduction of Unreal Engine 5 to Fortnite, Chapter 3 is one of the best-looking maps the game has seen, which can be more notable on next-gen systems such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For example, in Fortnite Chapter 2, the only big change to happen was that a portion of the map was surrounded by water at the start of a match. In the previous chapters, new POIs would be added and sections of the map would have something happen to them. The most notable change to Fortnite Chapter 3's map is that the whole entire thing has been turned upside down. The addition of tornados and lighting strikes in Fortnite keep players on their toes as not only can they possibly ruin a perfectly laid out strategy, it can also be an aid as tornadoes can be traversed as well. Chapter 3 brought new mechanics such as sliding, web-slinging, and camps to the game, which gave it a fresh and new feeling.
